The primary school in my village represents a place where the potential of approximately 350 children should be nurtured. However, the stark reality is that, for many, this promise remains unfulfilled. In a nation as rich and diverse as Nigeria, the harsh grip of poverty and pressing developmental needs continues to cast long shadows, significantly impacting the lives of the youngest members of our society. These youthful spirits, filled with curiosity and aspirations, bear the heaviest burden under these formidable circumstances.
Numerous families find themselves in the unenviable position of being unable to afford schooling for their children, let alone provide them with adequate sustenance throughout the school day. Yet, education stands as an essential cornerstone for the future of these children. It is for this reason that we are driven to extend our support to the families who are grappling with these challenges.

Emelong Foundation e.V., our guiding force, has taken on the mantle of ensuring that the children receive more than just education—they receive nourishment. We provide them with free lunches during school hours, alleviating one aspect of their challenges and enabling them to focus on their studies and growth.
