Over the past six years, with the support of donations, we have been able to completely renovate the “Riverside Primary School” in Umuaka. We built a school kitchen with a dining hall, drilled a drinking water well, renovated and equipped all the buildings, constructed sanitary facilities, installed electrical wiring, and added solar systems. The students, parents, and staff are very pleased, and the children enjoy coming to school.

Unfortunately, we are now facing an urgent challenge: some villagers use the school grounds as a thoroughfare, endangering the lives of the children. Despite repeated appeals, the situation has not changed. Therefore, we feel compelled to build a protective wall as quickly as possible to safeguard the children and the school.

We have already developed a comprehensive security concept, parts of which have been implemented: surveillance cameras have been installed, and a security guard has been hired. However, what is still missing is the construction of a protective wall around the school grounds and the installation of three school gates.

The costs are as follows:

Total Security Concept Costs: €26,837

Already financed / Own funds: €11,447 (cameras, security personnel costs, 261 m of wall)

To be financed:

• 3 school gates (€900 each): €2,700
• 470 m of protective wall (€27/m): €12,690

Total: €15,390

In order to complete the work quickly, provide students with a safe school environment, and protect the buildings from intentional damage, we are seeking support to fund this project.
